Phil Ivey Makes History

Full Tilt Poker champion makes history by making the final table at four major events in a row.Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) May 25, 2005 -- Team Full Tilt's Phil Ivey is on a winning streak and making history, landing at the final tables of four major televised poker events in a row, with buy-ins ranging from $5,000 to $25,000. Over the past two months, Phil Ivey has been giving competitors a run for their money, winning close to $800,000.Phil Ivey started his unprecedented winning streak with a $10,000 buy-in at the World Series of Poker Circuit Tournament Event at the Rio Hotel in Las Vegas on March 22nd. Finishing in 8th place, Phil took home $63,270. The tournament will air on ESPN this summer. On April 1st at the 2005 World Poker Challenge at the Reno Hilton, which will air on the Travel Channel, Phil finished 3rd, with a $5,000 buy-in, winning $163,908. Building on his success, on April 24th Phil entered the 2005 Third Annual Five-Star World Poker Classic at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas with a $25,000 buy-in, finishing 6th and taking home $264,195. Topping off his historic winning streak, he went on to finish 2nd at 2005 World Series of Poker Tournament Circuit in Lake Tahoe on May 11th with a $10,000 buy-in. This was the longest final table in WSOPC history. Coming in second, Phil took home $299,360. The tournament will air on ESPN.
