'The Breakup Song

'The Breakup Song (They Don't Write 'Em)' by the Greg Kihn Band (1981).
Here are the lyrics.......

We had broken up for good just an hour before,
Ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah.
And now I'm staring at the bodies as they're dancing 'cross the floor.
Ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah.
And then the band slowed the tempo, and the music gets you down.
Ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah.
It was the same old song, with a melancholy sound.
Ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah.

They don't write 'em like that anymore.
They just don't write 'em like that anymore.

We'd been living together for a million years,
Ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah.
But now it feels so strange out of the atmospheres.
Ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah.
And then the jukebox plays a song I used to know.
Ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah.
And now I'm staring at the bodies as they're dancing so slow.
Ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah.

They don't write 'em like that anymore.
They don't write 'em like that anymore.

Mmmm, now ?
I wind up staring at an empty glass
Ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah.
Cause it's so easy to say that you'll forget your past.
Ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah.

They don't write 'em like that anymore.
No, they just don't write 'em like that anymore.
Oh, they don't write 'em like that anymore.
They just don't write 'em like that anymore.
They just don't, no they don't, no no, uh-uh,
They just don't write 'em like that anymore.
They just don't...(fades)

E*Trade Canada

Q – I have approximately $10,000 in cash in E*Trade’s high interest "cash optimizer" account. Is this money safe?

A - As far as cash is concerned, money kept in brokerage accounts is not usually protected by deposit insurance. E*Trade Canada is not a member of the Canada Deposit Insurance Corporation (CDIC) but neither are other brokerage firms.

Credit Card Catch

Is credit balance insurance worthwhile?

http://www.cbc.ca/marketplace/2009/credit_card_catch/main.html

Everyone's pinching pennies in these tight times — so now might be a good time to double-check your credit card bill for any unexpected charges.

You might find you're paying for something known as "credit balance insurance." Depending on your credit card, it could be called "BalanceProtector" or "Account Protector," but the idea is the same: for a fee, credit balance insurance promises to cover your monthly minimum credit card payments in case of loss of income to due job loss or extreme illness. -- Wendy Mesley CBC Marketplace
